SMS Messaging Terms
Last updated: May 18, 2026
SMS is optional. You can use any TradeOS-powered service without enrolling in SMS. Recipients who decline SMS still receive every notification (appointment confirmations, technician updates, invoices) by voice and email. Consent to receive SMS is never required as a condition of purchasing any goods or services from TradeOS LLC or from a contractor that uses TradeOS.
Program name
TradeOS Service Notifications
Program description
TradeOS LLC operates a transactional SMS program on behalf of independent trade-services contractors (HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and similar service businesses) who use the TradeOS field-service management platform. We send SMS messages related to the recipient’s active service request, including:
- Appointment confirmations after a customer books a job
- Technician dispatch and arrival updates (“your tech is on the way”)
- Invoice delivery and one-tap payment links
- Appointment reminders the day before a scheduled visit
- Requests for a Google review after a completed and paid job
- Internal dispatch notifications to contractor staff (job assignments, daily briefings)
How recipients opt in
SMS is offered as an optional convenience. Customers, contractor staff, and trial signups all receive every notification by voice and email by default. SMS is only delivered to recipients who have affirmatively opted in through one of the methods below. Declining SMS does not affect the recipient’s ability to receive service, book a job, view an invoice, or use any TradeOS feature.
Web-based opt-in (primary): Recipients enter their mobile phone number in the SMS opt-in form located at the bottom of the TradeOS homepage tradeoperatingsystems.com. The form includes a required, unchecked-by-default consent checkbox with this exact disclosure: “I consent to receive recurring SMS messages from TradeOS LLC about my account, service appointments, technician arrival updates, invoices, and review requests. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out, HELP for help.” The checkbox must be affirmatively checked before submission, and the form cannot be submitted without it. The web form is fully optional — visitors may close the page or submit elsewhere on the site (e.g. the free-trial signup, which does not require SMS) and still receive every TradeOS feature. Each opt-in is recorded with a timestamp, IP address, user agent, and the exact consent text shown at the time of consent.
Customers (homeowners or business owners booking service): When a customer calls a contractor that uses TradeOS, our AI receptionist books the service appointment first. After the booking is confirmed, the receptionist then asks a separate, optional question: “Would you like text updates about your appointment, like arrival times and your invoice? Standard message and data rates may apply. You can reply STOP at any time to opt out. Either way, we will send you a confirmation by voice and email.” The caller must verbally answer “yes” for SMS to be enabled on that booking. Callers who decline (or do not answer) still receive the booking confirmation, technician arrival updates, the invoice, and any other notifications by voicemail and email. SMS consent is never a condition of booking, completing, or receiving service. The verbal opt-in question and the caller’s answer are logged in the AI call record with a timestamp and the full call transcript.
Contractor staff (technicians and dispatchers): The primary dispatch channel for TradeOS staff is the in-app push notification channel of the TradeOS mobile app, plus email. Every dispatch, schedule change, and daily briefing is delivered through those channels regardless of SMS consent. When a contractor adds a staff member, the staff member’s first job dispatch is accompanied by a one-time introductory SMS with explicit opt-out language: “Hi [name], this is TradeOS dispatch on behalf of [contractor]. You’ll receive job assignments here. Reply STOP at any time to opt out — dispatches will then come by push notification and email only.” Staff members who reply STOP, or who never want SMS, receive every subsequent dispatch through the push channel and email and receive no further SMS messages. SMS is never a condition of employment, of using the TradeOS mobile app, of receiving job assignments, or of any other TradeOS service. Each STOP reply is recorded with timestamp and applied immediately.
Message frequency
Recurring; varies by job activity. Typical frequency: 2–10 messages per active service job for customers, and 1–5 messages per workday for contractor staff. Customers with no active job typically receive zero messages.
Cost
TradeOS does not charge recipients for SMS messages. Standard message and data rates from your mobile carrier may apply. Carriers (AT&T, Verizon, T-Mobile, US Cellular, and others) are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
Opt out (STOP)
You may opt out of TradeOS SMS messages at any time by replying STOP to any message you receive. We will send one confirmation message acknowledging the opt-out and you will receive no further SMS messages from that contractor’s TradeOS account.
You can also opt out by emailing support@tradeoperatingsystems.com with the subject line “STOP” and the phone number to remove. We will process the opt-out within one business day.
Help (HELP)
Reply HELP to any message to receive a help message with our contact information, or contact support@tradeoperatingsystems.com or call 314-681-5870.
